Does the Library accept donations?
Answer
Due to constraints of the Library’s physical space and the growing demand for online resources, donations of physical library materials, including books and academic journals, can only be accepted at the discretion of the Assistant Director for Content Management.
Prospective donors must prepare an electronic list of materials they wish to donate, including title, author, and year of publication. Lists of items offered as donations may be sent to library@rush.edu.
The donor is responsible for arranging delivery of donations accepted by the library.
The Library does not appraise donations or provide documentation for tax purposes.
Financial gifts to the Library are welcomed. Monetary donations can be made in honor or in memory of a colleague or loved one. Donated funds can be designated toward the purchase of items within a specific field (e.g., surgery, nursing, oncology), or the Library can determine an appropriate purchase. To make a financial donation, please contact the Library Director.
