I am unable to come to RUSH University's campus. Can I still use ILLiad/interlibrary loan?
Answer
We encourage all patrons to use ILLiad to request journal articles and book chapters. These types of requests are always delivered online as PDFs.
However, as we are unable to ship any borrowed material directly to the patron under any circumstances, we can only offer interlibrary loan service for books and other print or bound materials if you are able to both pick up and return the item at the Library Services Desk on RUSH University's campus.
Please note that items borrowed via interlibrary loan cannot be returned directly to the lending institution, and, unlike I-Share items, interlibrary loan items cannot be returned to any I-Share library. They must be returned to RUSH.
As an alternative, if you are unable to come to RUSH University's campus in person, we recommend contacting your local public library to inquire about borrowing books through their interlibrary loan service.
