How soon will I receive the book I requested through ILLiad?

Answer

During weekday business hours, RUSH processes all interlibrary loan requests as they are received. Once the request has been sent to our lending partners, the length of time it takes for the book to be delivered to you is dependent on its availability, the speed at which the lending library responds to interlibrary loan requests, and the length of time it takes for the book to be delivered to RUSH. All interlibrary loan requests for books are delivered to RUSH by USPS Media Mail, courier, or commercial carrier, and can be subject to unpredictable delays.

Many ILLiad book requests are filled within 7-10 business days. While RUSH's interlibrary loan staff will attempt to source books from nearby institutions, books which must be shipped from out of state may take longer to arrive.

You will be notified by email when your ILLiad book request is ready for pickup.
